Cailin Barrett-Bressack is a Brooklyn-based author who writes offbeat, whimsical, book club-friendly novels with fantastical elements that are grounded in science, nature, and near-future technology. Her work is character-focused, with a balance of humor and emotional depth, written in lyrical but approachable prose.
Her writing has previously been published in the Louisville Review, Necessary Fiction, and the Blue Monday Review, among others. She has a BFA in writing, literature, and publishing from Emerson College.
When not writing, she enjoys going to beginner boxing classes, playing overly complicated DND characters, and exploring New York City with her partner and their chihuahua/dachshund mix, Donna Summer.
